Recyclable

An item is considered recyclable only if it can be recovered or diverted from the waste stream and reused. Items made from recycled components can be classified in two ways: pre-consumer, meaning the recycled component is manufacturing waste or excess (in fashion, this would be unsold and excess fabric, zippers, buttons, garments), or post-consumer, meaning that it is made from components that were disposed of by the consumer (in fashion, this would be donated clothing or textiles).
